Thumper Page Search
The Thumper website is now searchable thanks to a free service from FreeFind. Like a lot of free stuff the service has limitations. The search feature works best if you can key the search to a single word or text string. If you don't do that then be aware that the search engine will not treat the search criteria as a single text string but as separate text strings.
Example: if you are looking for references to "Bob Smith" the search engine will return all pages that contain both the word "Bob" and the word "Smith" but they may not necessarily be anywhere near each other. :-) After a successful search the search engine will return a list of all pages containing the search string but it is still up to you to find the search string within the page. Use your browser's "find" command to do that after the page loads.
A lot of searches aren't going to reveal anything unexpected. For any given model of bike you'll probably find references to it on the photo page and on the appropriate owner page, if there's an FAQ or article written about it then that will be listed as well. Perhaps the most useful application of the search feature is to find location references; for example searching for "Australia" should show you all the owner pages that list at least one owner down under.
